As well as Fashion industry skills Emma holds a Bachelor of Fine Art, Bachelor of Education (Secondary); and a Diploma of Vocational Education & Training; and delivers courses in fashion and liaises with local Gold Coast schools to design their fashion programs, and host incursions, which she sees as a constant learning opportunity. She has completed study of fashion locally (QUT, White House Institute of Design & Tafe) and abroad (London College of Fashion).
In 2015 Emma was awarded the Wool 4 School Teacher Prize. In 2020 she was selected to participate in the Fashion360 incubator program, & in 2021 a national finalist in the Myer & Victoria Racing’s Fashions On Your Front Lawn, Emerging Designer Category as part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Her work has been featured in BFM (Brisbane Fashion Month), The Calie Hotel Boutique, (Fortitude Valley) and has been requested to feature in international publications: the Hat Magazine and Hatlines. In 2022 Emma became an Australian Future Cotton Leader.
