Taking your measurements

Ideally wear the undergarments that you intend to wear with the garments. Should you not be taking your measurements in only your underwear, be sure to wear slim clothing, such as a singlet and tights or a jersey dress. Hold the tape firm, but not tight.

Take your measurements with the help of a friend or in front of a mirror. The most common mistake made when taking measurements is that the tape measure is sloping. Be sure to have the tape measure parallel to the floor. If measuring alone, be sure to turn in front of the mirror and check your tape is parallel to the floor (straight) across the body, NOT sloping.

Bust - The fullest part of your bust. Be sure to have the tape measure parallel to the floor.

Waist - The narrowest part of your torso.

Hip- Measure at your widest hip area. Be sure to have the tape measure parallel to the floor.
