Easy dressing

Libertyoflondonfabricseaymourcotton.jpg

You will notice none of our garments have centre back zips. That’s intentional. It doesn’t make good sense to place a fastening in a hard to reach place. We are aware that almost 1 in 5 Australians have a disability, so our designs are made so that they can be warn and loved by a range of abilities.

Our design process starts with our incredible fabrics and an elegant silhouette. The next part is a bit of a pickle. How can we keep the shape and look- without compromising usability?

Whilst our solution often looks simple- it is the process of many, many hours. Please ask a dressmaker to make you a “simple” tailored dress. His / her expression may help you fathom the care and attention to detail that goes into each of our designs.

If you love a design but we have missed the mark on usability for your beautiful body, please let us know how we can accomodate you. We are very happy to adjust design or swap fastenings. Most of these we can complete without additional cost to you. Read more on our custom page here.

This is the Maree dress. She is a beauty.

The volume of the soft fabric is very flattering and the subtle elastic at waist allows you to step into this dress or place over your head. This garment requires two buttons to be fastened at the front, and has the option of tailored French cuffs with buttons or an elasticated bell sleeve. She is crated with in seam pockets and French seams within.

Photographed here in a silk / cotton blend, in a field of cotton; in central NSW. We could say that COVID has encouraged us not to wait for an occasion to wear our beautiful kit. But that would be a lie. Call in on your designer unexpectedly and just see what she is wearing.. hopefully she doesn’t snag it in the garden this time.
